UVA's Environmental Institute is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within all aspects of the work and portfolio of the Institute. These themes are critical to achieving excellence within climate change analysis and solutions research, and they are among the most important responsibilities and highest priorities at the University.
Being aware of the legacy at UVA, EI works to ensure that the full spectrum of human attributes, perspectives, identities, backgrounds, and disciplines is represented. The Institute makes an explicit effort to diversify voices in finding equitable solutions for climate adaptation and mitigation.
