We are pleased to announce a gift from A. Cary Brown ’84 (Fiddlehead Fund) to support the inaugural Faculty Fellows of the Environmental Resilience Institute. This initiative includes two types of fellows: 1) UVA Fellows who receive support for allocating a portion of their effort to leading the development of a new focus area in the Institute, and 2) Visiting Fellows from other institutions who bring their experience and insights to enrich ERI program development. Fellows will work with the ERI leadership team to advance an area of cross-disciplinary research.

The first faculty fellows will focus broadly on water issues across all disciplines, at the intersection of conservation and management, climate change, health and well-being. The fellowship competition will be announced in June with selection made in August 2018. UVA Fellows will be appointed for one year, and will be provided support for a one-semester course release and research funds.
